Salman Khan rejects offer is a yaaron ka yaar, going out of his way for close friends. One of his most enduring friendships is with Telugu superstar Chiranjeevi, whom Salman has idolised since his adolescence. In fact, when Chiranjeevi’s son Ram Charan was in Mumbai filming his Bollywood debut Zanjeer, Salman had meals delivered to Ram Charan’s set every day.
Now that Salman has begun filming for a very special guest appearance, an extended cameo, in Chiranjeevi’s Godfather, he has made it clear that he will not accept a single penny for his efforts.
“Chiranjeevi’s producers wanted to pay Salman Rs. 15-20 crores for his guest appearance in Godfather,” a source close to the work tells me from Hyderabad.
However, Salman was adamant. He told Chiranjeevi that if they insisted on paying him, he wouldn’t do the cameo. ‘If I were to tell you to play a role in my film, would you charge for it?’ Salman asked Chiranjeevi. Chiranjeevi was moved and speechless by the question.” Salman reportedly has a 20-minute cameo in Godfather. He’ll be filming for a week.
Mohan Raja’s upcoming Telugu-language political action thriller is being produced by Konidela Production Company and Super Good Films. The film Lucifer is based on the Malayalam film of the same name (2019). Chiranjeevi, Nayanthara, and Satyadev Kancharana play the lead roles in the film. It also marks the Telugu debut of Bollywood actor Salman Khan, who plays a pivotal role in the film.
The soundtrack has composed by S.Thaman, and the film’s cinematographer is Nirav Shah. The principal videography for the movie began in August 2021, with locations such as Hyderabad, Ooty, and Mumbai.
