On the anniversary of Shah Rukh and Gauri, here is a revisit of the sweet tale of how he tricked her into a Darjeeling honeymoon by offering her a Parisian getaway.

He disclosed how he “fooled” Gauri when Shah Rukh was shown a photo of his Honeymoon at the Hindustan Times Most Stylish 2019.

 I was very poor when I got married, though Gauri has been middle-class and well-to-do.

So, as everyone normally does, I told her, ‘I’ll take you to Paris and show you the Eiffel Tower,’ after we got married.

 But it was all a lie, clearly, because neither I had the money nor I had flight tickets, but I persuaded her somehow. I tricked her into thinking that I had taken her to Paris and that I had taken her to Darjeeling,’ he joked.

How Sharuk met Gauri:

Shah Rukh met Gauri when they were adolescents at a party and soon fell in love. Owing to his possessiveness, they slightly broke up, and she left for a holiday in Mumbai.

 He and his friends landed in the city to woo her back, and they travelled to the beach to find her, as he knew she enjoyed swimming. Fortunately, at the last beach he went to, he met her, and they had a very movie-like reunion.

On October 25, 1991, Shah Rukh and Gauri got married and were the parents of three kids: Aryan, Suhana, and AbRam. The entire family is present in the new Indian Premier League (IPL) in Dubai.

Shah Rukh was last seen in Aanand L Rai’s Zero on the job front. As an actor, he has yet to reveal his next film, but he is busy with his production projects.

The book, which will come out next year, will share the details of her experience as an interior designer and feature photos of her designs, family, and house that have never been seen before.
