Shah Rukh Khan Paused Jawan Filming During Aryan Khan Case

Bollywood actress Girija Oak recently shared insights into Shah Rukh Khan’s professionalism while filming Jawan during one of the most turbulent periods of his personal life. In an interview with Siddharth Kannan, Girija disclosed how the superstar remained composed and dedicated to his work despite the ongoing legal case involving his son Aryan Khan.

Professionalism Amid Personal Crisis

According to Girija, Shah Rukh Khan never allowed his personal struggles to reflect on set. The actress emphasized that despite facing public accusations and controversies, the actor displayed remarkable grace and composure. “Not once has he lost his cool on set; he never shouted at anyone,” Girija revealed, adding that she witnessed him go through multiple phases during the two years of shooting together. She noted that Shah Rukh showed up punctually and delivered his best performance regardless of the turmoil he was experiencing behind the scenes.

A Brief Pause for Legal Battle

During the height of the Aryan Khan case, Shah Rukh Khan took a strategic break from public life and Jawan’s production. For three to four months, the actor was completely inaccessible and paused filming. Girija confirmed that the cast and crew had no contact with him during this period. However, when he resumed shooting, the case had nearly reached its conclusion, and he returned with the same professionalism and grace as before.

The Aryan Khan drug case saw his arrest in October 2021 following an NCB raid on a cruise party. After spending nearly 20 days in jail, the Bombay High Court granted him bail. The case was eventually closed in May 2022 when the NCB gave Aryan Khan a clean chit.

Despite these challenges, Jawan became a massive blockbuster, earning over ₹1,100 crore worldwide. Shah Rukh Khan’s dedication was further recognized when he won the National Award for Best Actor in 2025 for his stellar performance in the film.
