The actor’s Shahid Kapoor and Vijay Sethupathi make their digital debuts in Farzi, a Raj Nidimoru and Krishna DK production available on Prime Video.
The cast and crew of Farzi released its trailer on Friday, giving viewers a better look at the action-packed web series that stars Shahid as a conman and Vijay as a detective trying to find him.
Along with Kay Kay Menon, Bhuvan Arora, Raashi Khanna, Amol Palekar, and Regina Cassandra, Farzi also stars these actors. On February 10, the crime thriller will be made available.
Farzi focuses on the cat-and-mouse game in which losing is not an option between Shahid and Vijay Sethupathi.
Shahid jumped into bed with money—read: fake money—in the trailer’s opening scene as he boasted about being so wealthy that “he does not need to respect money anymore.”
The remainder of the trailer shows how Shahid and his group create “nakli notes” (counterfeits) to become instantly wealthy.
The actor declared in Hindi, “We are not middle-class, we’re the middle-finger class!” demonstrating his newfound determination to “break the system,” in which the wealthy continue to amass wealth. At the same time, the poor only pay back loans.
In the video, Shahid claims to be a talented artist who can “replicate any art.” It makes sense why the police want him at all costs and acknowledge that he is “unstoppable.”
Vijay and his crew then pursue Shahid on land and in water. But will they succeed in catching him, or will they fall for a trick?
Shahid recently shared a photo from the set of the “fake” Farzi trailer on Instagram Reels. Shahid was seen in the hilarious video reprimanding “Farzi Shahid” (the fake Shahid) for occupying his spot on the set and filming a farzi (fake) trailer.
With Sita R Menon and Suman Kumar, Raj and DK wrote Farzi. The upcoming eight-episode series is described as “an edgy, one-of-a-kind crime thriller, stitched around a clever underdog street artist’s pursuit to con the system that favours the rich,” and it will feature the directors’ signature humour.
Previously on Farzi, Raj and DK said, “We are thrilled to be back with our next new series! as a result of The Family Man’s incredibly successful partnership with Prime Video! We worked incredibly hard to write one of our favourite scripts, shooting it through the highs and lows of the pandemic.
In other words, this series was produced with a lot of sweat, blood, and tears. After The Family Man, we aim to create another fascinating, unique world. We can’t wait for everybody to watch this new series, which will debut on Prime on February 10.
