BJP, Hill State Congress leaders express concern about the Maharashtra government’s action in Mumbai led by Uddhav Thackeray, say kangna’s security is her responsibility.

On Wednesday Himachal Pradesh chief minister Jai Ram Thakur condemned the Shiv Sena-controlled Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) demolition of Bollywood actor Kangana Ranaut’s property in Mumbai, unfortunate.

The Shiv Sena has shunned the principles. 

His existence is over since he tied up with Congress to form the Maharashtra government, “said Thakur, who heads the hill state government of the BJP, on the sidelines of Shimla’s assembly session.

The Uddhav Thackeray-led Shiv Sena, especially the MP Sanjay Raut, and the actress were engaged in a word war after comparing Mumbai to Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK) and saying that she is feared of Mumbai Police more than the film mafia. 

While Kangana was travelling from her hometown, Mandi, to Mumbai in Himachal Pradesh on Wednesday, the BMC team with a bulldozer and cranes reached Kangana’s Bungalow in Bandra.

 It destroyed alterations on the premises until the high court in Mumbai stepped in, and the demolition remained.

The Centre, on the urge of the Himachal Pradesh Police, provided Kangana with Y-plus security after Kangana complained of threats to her life following the spat with Raut. 

During her stay at Manali, and later in her native village at Bhambla in Mandi district, the Himachal police provided her with security.

State Minister of Education Govind Singh Thakur expressed solidarity with Kangana and described as unfortunate the action of the Maharashtra Government.

Senior State Congress leader Ram Lal Thakur also said the Maharashtra Government was responsible for the security provided to Kangana.

 “She is Himachal Pradesh’s daughter, and we are concerned for her safety,” he said.

After testing negative for Covid-19 on Tuesday night, Kangana left Mandi for Chandigarh by road early Wednesday to catch her flight to Mumbai.
