Smith’s Brilliant 131runs help Australia reach 338 in 3rd test Sydney. India Advantage at tea time 2nd day.

Steven Smith once again showing why he is called a top Test match batsman right now. Jadeja and Bumrah helped India limit Australia to 338runs in good batting pitch.

3rd test match India vs Australia Border Gavaskar trophy 2020-21: started well for Australia as young Opener played a good knock of Will Pucovski of 62runs which helped Australia get a good start a safe batting track. 

Pucovski and Labuschagne Partnership:

Will Pucovski and Mr Consistant in the series for Australia Labuschagne played a nice confident knock of 91runs. Siraj picked Warner who came after a break in sleep for five runs.

Will Pucovski and Labuschagne partnership gave Australia hope, and at one point it looked like we will see big score first time in test series. Navdeep Saini and Jadeja took important wickets. First Pucovski got out in the bowling of Saini then Jaddu took the wicket of well set Labuschagne.

Steven Smith was looking fantastic, he was ready to take on Indian bowling, and he did that by scoring classic 131runs. Great knock by top batsman coming back to the form after ODI’s. He showed his class and helped Australia reach 338runs. 

Australia’s Middle order and tail didn’t support smith:

Australia tumbled after Will Pucovski and Labuschagne partnership. No middle-order batsman stayed for long Jadeja picked Wade and champion Indian bowler Boom Boom Bumrah the Mr evergreen from past three years took Paine and Green in quick time which brought India back in the game. 

Champion Bowler Bumrah:

Bumrah is very key bowler for India every bowler around him is looking good that’s what makes a difference when you have a champion bowler in your team. More than 70% he will help the team in winning crucial moments which takes away match. Bumrah took only two wickets, but the impact of that two wickets was more than Jadeja’s four wickets in the inning. 

Poor Team Selection by Team India in 3rd test match:

Coming to the team selection of the Indian team. To be fair, it is weird. Yes, Agarwal out in flat pitch and Vihari still in the team, and Saini was totally out of form again. There was no place for Thakur who showed good sign and they also didn’t pick Natrajan, who would have been a good option as a left-hander pace bowler. 

Low Moral and Poor Fielding by India team:

Now talking about India’s performance in 3rd test match in the fielding. The first word comes to “POOR” Pant to many other fielders were not as charge up as they should be in the match.
