Smriti has removed all photos and videos documenting the wedding festivities, including posts from the haldi, mehendi, and sangeet ceremonies that had gained significant traction on social media. However, she retained previous Instagram posts featuring Palash, including birthday wishes and couple photographs. Videos of the couple performing during the sangeet celebration had gone viral before being deleted, removing much of the public record of their pre-wedding celebrations.

Palash’s sister, renowned singer Palak Muchhal, publicly defended her brother against online harassment and criticism. She emphasized that the wedding delay was entirely due to genuine family health concerns, not relationship troubles as some trolls suggested. Palak stressed the importance of respecting the couple’s privacy during this difficult period. Both Smriti’s father and Palash experienced brief hospitalizations, with the latter deciding that postponing the wedding was the appropriate choice for his family’s wellbeing, highlighting the emotional toll the situation has taken on both families.
