Superstars like Will smith and Mike Jagger joining Covid-19 India Relief Concert organized by Karan Johar and Zoya Akhtar.

Shahrukh Khan, Aamir Khan, Akshay Kumar, Priyanka Chopra, Alia Bhatt and several other Superstars from Bollywood will also feature in this concert from home.

Rockstar Mike Jagger and Hollywood Actor Will Smith to feature in a 4-hour long concert-from-home organized by filmmakers Karan Johar and Zoya Akhtar to raise funds for India’s battle against Coronavirus. Other stars from the west will be singer Bryan Adams and the Jonas Brothers. 

On the domestic front, actors Shahrukh Khan, Aamir Khan, Akshay Kumar, Priyanka Chopra, Ranveer Singh, Hrithik Roshan, Saif Ali Khan, Kareena Kapoor, Katrina Kaif, Varun Dhawan, Arjun Kapoor, Kartik Aaryan, Alia Bhatt, Anushka Sharma and India’s Cricket Captain Virat Kohli will be the top names to feature in the concert, as per sources.

The Covid-19 India Relief Concert is a tribute to the frontline workers who are fighting the pandemic. The goal is to raise millions of dollars so as to provide essential goods and services to those in need because of the nationwide lockdown. 

The artists have been told to share four-minute videos of them performing; the performance can have acting, singing, dancing, recitation and monologue or stand up. The concert will be airing on Facebook this Sunday.

As of today, the total reported cases of Coronavirus in India stands at 37335 and 1218 deaths, with over 2000 fresh cases in the last 24 hours.

Due to the fast-growing cases, the lockdown has been extended till 17th May, thereby affecting daily wage workers and migrants. Many are stranded in different states, with no food and money, and this concert aims to raise funds, to cater to those in need.
