Tata Sons’ Chairman N Chandrasekaran was reappointed as Chairman of Tata Sons for a second five-year term on Friday. Tata Sons started in a statement that the board approved the reappointment.

Chandrasekaran’s current term as Chairman of the board of directors expires on February 20.

Tata Sons said in a statement that Ratan N. Tata, who was a special invitee to the meeting, expressed his satisfaction with the Tata Group’s progress also performance under Chandrasekaran’s leadership.

“The Board members commended the Executive Chairman’s performance also unanimously approved Mr. N Chandrasekaran’s reappointment like Executive Chairman for the next five years,” according to the statement.
Chandrasekaran is the Chairman of the Boards of Tata Steel, also Tata Motors, Tata Power, also Tata Consultancy Services.

Tata Sons are the primary investment holding company also promoter of Tata firms. Tata companies’ revenue in 2020-21 was $103 billion. The companies employ over 80,000 people.
