Samsung has announced the Galaxy Book2 Business.

At MWC 2022, Samsung unveiled the Galaxy Book2 Business. This is a new PC based on Intel’s vPro processor platform, designed for businesses. In addition, the laptops come with tools to help keep them secure for enterprise users. Which is especially important in a hybrid environment where some employees work from home and on non-corporate networks. These, according to Samsung, have “defense-grade security technology. Intel Hardware Shield Technology, and a secure embedded processor to protect the BIOS.

According to the company, they are “equipped with a Tamper Alert function that detects and tracks malicious attempts to interfere with security-critical data and stops PC attacks before the operating system is infiltrated.”

Furthermore, Samsung claims that if the laptop is attack, “valuable data is secure with BIOS auto-recovery.

Which can detect threats during the PC’s boot process and automatically restore the BIOS to a backup copy before corruption strikes. According to the company, the laptops are built on Intel vPro processors and have an Intel Hardware Shield that protects against hardware and OS attacks and reduces the chances of malware exploiting the OS.

“By monitoring both BIOS and OS levels, Galaxy Book2 Business assists enterprises in avoiding attacks and safeguarding sensitive data. Furthermore, Microsoft Secured-Core PC (SCPC) protects each device from kernel and firmware attacks. Ensuring that malicious code does not corrupt the system,” according to the release.

The laptop also includes an auto framing feature to keep the camera focused on the faces on-screen and background effects such as blurred backgrounds and virtual office settings to reduce distractions. In addition, during video calls, each laptop in the segment “automatically filters static and background sounds. So voices come through clearly and every word is herd and understood.”

The laptop has a Business IR Camera, and only authorized users can log in using facial recognition for quick access.
