UK England Cornwall man orders 60 pairs of reading glasses by mistake

A UK England Cornwall man who mistakenly ordered 60 pairs of frames had admitted he might not have been wearing his glasses when he placed the order.

From Perranporth, Cornwall, Tom Arnold went viral on the internet after his son shared a picture of the mishap.

UK England Cornwall man believed he had ordered 12 pairs of reading spectacles from Specsavers but was shocked when a “small mountain” was delivered to his house on Sunday. The firm has repaid the cost of the unwanted eyewear.

“I just recall complaining about the packaging – you know, this is an excellent waste of packaging for just a few eyewear,” Mr Arnold stated. “I opened it up and saw this small mountain of 60 pairs of reading spectacles.”

Mr Arnold had incorrectly ordered 12 sets of five eyewear instead of 12 separate ones, at the cost of approximately £120.

“Perhaps I didn’t have my spectacles on,” he joked.

He said the reaction to his error online had been “a little bit crazy”. “I see it a bit hard to think… but possibly some people ought to have a bit of a laugh – have something amusing when there’s so much bad news around,” he expressed.
