14-Year-Old Sensation Vaibhav Suryavanshi Named India A Squad

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) announced its squad on Tuesday for the upcoming Rising Stars Asia Cup, beginning November 14 in Doha. The squad will be led by wicketkeeper-batter Jitesh Sharma, and notably includes 14-year-old sensation Vaibhav Suryavanshi, who will finally get his chance to represent India A on an international stage. This selection marks the teenager’s first call-up to the India A team, generating significant excitement across Indian cricket circles.

India A Squad Composition and Group Placement

India A will compete in Group B alongside Oman, UAE, and Pakistan A, with the much-anticipated contest against Pakistan A scheduled for Sunday, November 16. The squad features several IPL stars including Priyansh Arya, Nehal Wadhera, Ramandeep Singh, Ashutosh Sharma, and Abhisek Porel. The team will begin their campaign against UAE on November 14 and conclude their league stage with a match against Oman on November 18. Five standby players have also been named, including Tanush Kotian and Gurnoor Singh Brar.

Record-Breaking Performances in ODI Cricket

Meanwhile, USA cricket made headlines with Milind Kumar setting a new ODI average record of 67.73 after scoring an unbeaten 137 against the UAE in ICC Cricket World Cup League 2. Kumar’s partnership with Saiteja Mukkamalla produced 264 runs—the second-highest unbroken stand in ODI history. The USA’s dominant 243-run victory showcased emerging cricket talent on the global stage, with Rushil Ugarkar claiming career-best figures of 5 for 22.
