A 19-year-old girl allegedly raped by her neighbour then thrown off a terrace for resisting in the Moradabad district of Uttar Pradesh.
The SSP confirmed that on January 5, the woman registered her statement before a magistrate in which she accused her neighbour of assaulting her.
The family members of the victim the police contained only the charges of outrageous modesty, trespass as well as causing harm.
The woman was moved to Moradabad’s Deendayal Upadhyay Government Hospital, in which she was medically treated.
The woman sustained serious injuries and received treatment at the Moradabad Deendayal Upadhyay Government Hospital, informed Anoop Singh, Dilari circle cop.
As a Police official stated:
A 19-year-old girl who was allegedly raped by her neighbour then thrown off a terrace for resisting in Moradabad district of Uttar Pradesh is “out of danger,” police officers said that on Friday, stating that after the woman reported her statement, the allegations of rape were applied to the report.
Dilari circle officer Anoop Singh stated:
According to authorities, the incident happened late on January 5, when the woman’s neighbor infiltrated the woman’s house via the terrace under the jurisdiction of the Dilari Police Station and allegedly raped her at gunpoint. The accused allegedly kicked her off the terrace when the woman tried to raise the alarm, authorities said.
The woman sustained serious injuries and received treatment at the Moradabad Deendayal Upadhyay Government Hospital, stated Anoop Singh, Dilari area officer.
As the victim’s family claimed:
The family members of the victim, who rushed her to the hospital, claimed that in the First Information Statement lodged during the day of the incident, the police contained only the charges of outrageous modesty, trespass, and causing harm.
Upon the involvement of Moradabad senior police superintendent Prabhakar Choudhury, the victim’s family has claimed, the police included the rape accusation.
The SSP confirmed that on January 5, the woman registered her statement before a magistrate in which she accused her neighbour of assaulting her.
The rape charge was then included in the FIR, arrested the accused and then sent to jail under judicial custody, Choudhury included.
Further, Anoop Singh added:
Singh also said the rape charge was applied after the woman made her statement through section 164 of the Criminal Procedure Code, dismissing the female family’s claims that the police did not include the rape charge.
The woman was moved to Moradabad’s Deendayal Upadhyay Government Hospital, in which she was medically treated, he said. Now, she is out of risk.
