Oppo intends to quit including a charging adapter with several products
Oppo intends: Oppo’s Billy Zhang reportedly announced the European launch of the Oppo Reno 8 series.
A company executive reportedly announced during a launch event that Oppo intends would no longer include a charging adapter with several of its products. The executive did not reveal the names of the Oppo devices that will not come with a charging brick. According to the report, the decision will be implement next year. And the company will still include SuperVOOC chargers in the box. Although the reason for the decision has not been reveal, it is thought to be a way to reduce e-waste.
According to Android Police, Billy Zhang, Oppo’s President of Overseas Sales and Services. Announced during the European launch event of the Oppo Reno 8 series that several of the company’s upcoming products will not include a charging adapter. According to reports, the decision will be implement within 12 months.
However, Zhang did not specify which devices would not include a charging adapter. According to the report, Zhang’s comments imply that the move may be limit to specific regions and will be dependent on the product. According to Zhang, Oppo will continue to include SuperVOOC charging adapters. Because it was difficult for consumers to obtain these chargers.
Oppo will, however, sell standard charging adapters in stores, according to Zhang.
