Abhishek Banerjee and Barkha Singh meet for new project

Created and produced by Raaj Shaandilyaa, The Great Wedding of Munnes is an original Jio Studios web series that premiered exclusively on Voot Select. The show stars Abhishek Banerjee and Barkha Singh.

The story, directed by Sunil Subramani, is about a desperate attempt by a middle-class man to marry the woman of his dreams, which leads to a series of hilarious accidents. Essential photos were taken in Mathura, Agra, Hyderabad, and Jaipur.

Commenting on his efforts in the OTT space Raaj Shaandilyaa said. This is my first collaboration with Jio Studios and my debut in the OTT world. With so much crime fiction and thrillers going on. I felt there should be a comedy show as big as a Bollywood movie.

The Jio Studios team supports my vision, and the collaboration so far has been great. Our aim is to change the trend and bring the audience an enjoyable journey.

The man who runs the OTT room, Abhishek Banerjee, said, “I was always looking for roles that challenged me as an actor. And I was looking for a good script for a comedy, and it was an entertaining story. So when the makers came to me to play Munnes and told me about it, I was amazed. We’ve already started filming the show in Rohtak, and I’m looking forward to it.”

Barkha Singh, known for winning hearts in the OTT field, added, “I’m excited to be a part of this laugh. My character is fascinating, and I can’t wait to play. I am also looking forward to sharing screen space with Abhishek for the first time. It promises to be a so much of fun.”
