Abu Dhabi to offer compensation of Dh250000 for the worker hit by pump
The worker will be paid the compensation of Dh250,000 for the worker hit by the pump in Abu Dhabi.
A compensation of Dh250000 has been given by the Abu Dhabi court to the worker who was severely injured as a heavy pump fell on him.
While the incident took place, the worker was repairing the pump. He also got multiple fractures on his spine and ribs.
The official documents of the court stated that the worker had filed a lawsuit against the company owner who hired him. Demanding Dh250000 for the physical, moral and material injuries he suffered because of the incident.

The appellant stated that he was repairing the pump at the workshop when the pump fell on him. I got several injuries and fractures on my spine and back ribs.
The incident occurred due to negligence and a lack of safety measures by the company to protect its workers.
The Abu Dhabi Criminal Court condemned the company’s owner for negligence and ignoring safety measures. The owner was fined Dh10,000 and a further Dh60,000 as the temporary compensation fees for the worker.
Later the worker filed a civil lawsuit against the owner, demanding compensation.
The injuries have affected him so badly that he can’t even stand for a very long time, as he is the only earner of the company.
The Abu Dhabi Civil Court of First Instance has instructed him to pay Dh250,000 for damages.
The ruling party has been challenged by the employer in the appeal court and upheld the verdict by the lower court.
The company owner will also pay him the legal expenses.
