On the occasion of the 74th Independence Day, Karan
Johar took to his Instagram to wish people; he had last posted on June 14th.
Bollywood film-maker Karan Johar on Saturday returned to the social media after
an absence of two months. The Dharma Productions’ head honcho Karan Johar took
to his Instagram on the 74th Independence Day, to wish fans and shared a photo of the tricolor
flag. In the caption, Karan Johar wished a happy Independence Day to the great
nation of India, describing it as a treasure trove of culture, heritage, and
history.
Karan Johar posted on social
media after sharing a photo with Sushant Singh Rajput, 2 months back:
Johar, an avid user of the social media platforms, last shared a post on Instagram on the 14th of June 2020. It was the day when actor Sushant Singh Rajput allegedly died by suicide. Upon his demise, the nepotism debate was reignited and Johar found himself at the center of it. In the post, the producer-director had shared a photo of himself with Sushant Singh Rajput and wrote that he blamed himself for not being in touch with him for the past year. Johar said that the death of SSR has awakened him of not making the same mistakes again, and urged the need for nurturing the relationships that we make.
Karan Johar disappeared from
the social media platforms, after being cyber-bullied:
The trolling, abusing, and
cyber-bullying were too much for Karan Johar, who had disabled comments on his
posts and took a sabbatical from the webspace. Many users alleged Karan Johar
of leading the movie mafia in Bollywood. Since then, Karan Johar has refrained
from sharing anything on all the social media platforms. On August 12, his production
venture Gunjan Saxena The Kargil Girl released on Netflix.
