Mayor Pratibha Jain inaugurated the service with the commencement of a double-decker e-bus route between Vasana and Sarathi bungalows, showcasing the city’s commitment to modernizing public transportation.

Route Selection and Special Features
The inaugural route for the double-decker e-bus was carefully chosen, opting for a special under-bridge, no-over-bridge route.
The bus is set to operate on seven routes, catering to a higher passenger capacity. Notably, the e-bus features modern amenities such as USB chargers, WiFi, and reading lights to enhance the commuting experience.
Plans for Fleet Expansion
The introduction of the first double-decker e-bus is part of a larger plan to have six such buses operational in Ahmedabad by April.
The buses, with a capacity of 63 passengers each, are expected to serve multiple routes, contributing to the city’s efforts to revitalize its public transportation system.

Technological Advancements
One of the remarkable aspects of the double-decker e-bus is its quick charging capability, requiring only one and a half to three hours for a full charge.
