In a note from a senior official, the airlines expressed regret for the inconvenience experienced by passengers.
The airline emphasized that the safety of passengers was the primary concern, leading to the decision to land at an airport outside their usual network.
Air India acknowledged the difficulties faced by the passengers over the past 24 hours and appreciated their patience.

The airline thanked the local authorities, the Indian consulate in Moscow, and airport partners for their support. As a gesture of goodwill, Air India announced that they would fully refund the fare for the journey and provide a travel voucher for future flights with the airline.

The flight, carrying 225 passengers and 19 crew members, was diverted to Krasnoyarsk on Thursday. To assist the stranded passengers, Air India dispatched a ferry flight AI1179 from Mumbai to Krasnoyarsk.
This flight, airborne as of July 19, carried essential supplies, including sufficient food for all passengers. An Air India team, including crew and security personnel, was on board to provide necessary support.
