Bhansali’s Magnum Opus Enters Final Stage

Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s much-anticipated film “Love and War” is in its final production phase, with the lead actors filming the movie’s grand closing sequence. The highly ambitious project, starring Alia Bhatt, Vicky Kaushal, and Ranbir Kapoor, has been in development for years, and the completion of this spectacular song marks a significant milestone. The production team has constructed an elaborate set at Mumbai’s Royal Pump Studio exclusively for this monumental sequence, showcasing Bhansali’s signature grandeur and visual extravagance.

Stunning Looks on Set

Alia Bhatt turned heads in her retro-inspired outfit, donning a shimmering golden sequined mini skirt paired with a striking red scarf and matching red boots—a bold fashion statement befitting Bhansali’s aesthetic. Her co-star Vicky Kaushal complemented the scene in classic elegance, wearing a black shirt and trousers with a sophisticated grey coat. The choreography reportedly involves nearly 200 dancers, making it one of cinema’s most ambitious musical sequences.

Production Challenges and Release Timeline

The shoot hasn’t been without challenges. A tragic on-set accident resulted in the death of carpenter Chandradhari Singh Yadav from an electric shock, prompting Bhansali Productions to offer Rs 40 lakh compensation. The incident drew demands for an FIR from industry bodies regarding negligence and culpable homicide concerns.

Despite these setbacks, “Love and War” remains on track for its January 21, 2027 release, promising audiences a cinematic spectacle that represents years of meticulous craftsmanship and artistic vision.
