Reports that the Ghazipur sites will be vacated began to spread on Thursday as local opposition from Singhu, the current protest’s major site was identified.

It was confirmed that at the Ghazipur site, electricity was interrupted. At the venue, there was a massive deployment of police.

Tikait confronted the protesters at the Ghazipur site again at midnight and also said that more farmers would be joining the site. He called for nonviolent protest as well.
