Bhooth Bangla Crosses ₹150 Crore Despite Slowing Weekday Collections

Akshay Kumar’s horror-comedy Bhooth Bangla has crossed the ₹150 crore net milestone in India after three weeks in theatres. The film recorded ₹1.75 crore net on its 21st day across 4,923 shows nationwide — identical to its Day 20 earnings — reflecting a plateau in collections but confirming sustained audience engagement heading into its fourth week.

Worldwide Gross Climbs to ₹234.93 Crore

On the international front, the film added ₹0.10 crore on Day 21, pushing overseas gross collections to ₹56.95 crore. Combined with the domestic gross of ₹177.98 crore, the film’s worldwide gross now stands at ₹234.93 crore. A day prior, the film had collected ₹1.75 crore domestically, with overseas earnings of ₹0.15 crore, though that figure had already reflected a 22.2% dip from the previous day’s ₹2.25 crore.

Occupancy Figures Remain Modest on Weekdays

Weekday occupancy painted a muted picture during morning shows, averaging 5.54% nationally. The NCR led in screen count with 613 shows at around 6% occupancy. Mumbai performed comparatively better at 10% across 198 shows, while Pune held steady at 9%. Cities like Kolkata, Surat, and Chandigarh reported figures below 5%. Ahmedabad logged 244 shows with just 4% occupancy.

Despite the slow weekday trend, the upcoming weekend is expected to provide a meaningful boost to ticket sales. If the film sustains its current momentum, it remains on track to improve its worldwide total further before its theatrical run concludes.
