Vadodara Woman: The body of a missing woman, Vidya Ramesh Vasava, was discovered in bushes in Vadodara, Gujarat. A resident of Shinor village, Vidya, had gone missing earlier, leading to a police investigation. The authorities have now arrested four men in connection with her death.

Arrested Suspects in Vadodara Woman Case:

The arrested individuals have been identified as:

  1. Pravin Shanabhai Vasava
  2. Kiran Shanabhai Vasava
  3. Gangaram Gangubhai Vasava
  4. Chunilal Mangaldas

All suspects are from Shinor and nearby villages in the Vadodara district. The investigation revealed that Kiran, Vidya’s brother-in-law, suspected her of being involved in another relationship and had pressured her to marry him. After she refused, the crime unfolded.

Details of the Vadodara Woman Crime:

According to police reports, the suspects allegedly attacked Vidya at the Monter’s Boat Training Centre.

She was assaulted and raped by the men, and when she attempted to escape, they chased her, dragged her into nearby bushes, and assaulted her again. Ultimately, they strangled her using her scarf, leading to her death.

The police have arrested all four suspects, and further legal action is underway.

A Previous Crime in 2023:

This recent incident bears similarities to another case from 2023 in the same region. In that case, four people, including a woman, were arrested for attempting to murder a 40-year-old woman from Shinor taluka.

The woman was accused of having an extramarital affair, and her attackers brutally beat her, stripped her, and dragged her through fields as punishment. The attackers included a mother and her son, along with two others.

Both incidents have shocked the local community and highlighted the need for more stringent measures to prevent such violence.
