Students visited Intas Pharmaceuticals Ltd., a top-notch, vertically-integrated global pharmaceutical formulation development, marketing and manufacturing company.
Colleges and universities have always placed massive importance on planning industrial visits for students in their chosen fields. These industrial visits help students gain knowledge beyond theoretical concepts, gaining more practical insights through interactions with their respective industry experts, employees, leaders, and the like. Keeping this in mind and staying committed to its promise of laying a solid foundation for Pharma students, C.U Shah College of Pharmacy & Research (CCPR) at C.U Shah University recently planned an industrial visit at the famous Intas Pharmaceuticals Ltd.
Nestled in Matoda village near Changodar, Ahmedabad, the university ensured that pharmacy students were furnished with hands-on experience and exposure to the industry’s inner workings, which was aimed at strengthening their educational journey. The industrial visit, which was held on 22nd March 2024, was a huge success, with a significant number of students showing up to enhance their understanding of various manufacturing processes. Overall, the students felt it was an enriching experience that fostered knowledge and professional development.

The industrial visit commenced at 10:00 am by the Faculty members of CCPR, including Dr. Akruti Khodakiya [I/c Principal], Mr. Jagir Patel, Ms. Jayati Raval, Ms. Nilam Joshi and Ms. Kruti Jadwani with 55 students. The day began with an enlightening session led by Mr. Dipak Patel, Senior General Manager of the Training and Development Department at Intas Pharmaceuticals Ltd., priming the students, who were then divided into four groups for an immersive exploration of the facilities of the pharmaceutical giant.
From observing the entire manufacturing process and loading of raw materials to understanding the packaging of finished products, the production executive at Intas provided them with all the necessary information and insights about the machinery, instruments, and the like.
For the students of CCPR, this industrial visit proved to be a pivotal educational moment. It offered them practical insights and acumen, ultimately motivating them to excel in the pharmaceutical industry.
