C U Shah Medical College is giving its best to eradicate TB from Surendranagar.

According to the latest Divyabhaskar news, several departments for treatment in CU Shah Medical College, Surendranagar. 

The college dean issued orders in the core committee to find out the maximum number of TB cases from the OPD registered in the college. 

Helping Zalawad become TB free: The Government of India has called for the eradication of TB by 2025. In the core-committee meeting at CU Shah Medical College on 4-8-2021, discussed in detail about TB. 

Head Instructed each department to maintain a referral registrar to assure that TB cases are received from the OPD as much as possible. 

TB patients must be reported as per government guidelines; all departments were directed to immediately issue notifications as per the government format if a TB patient is diagnosed. 

Approximately 900 TB patients come to the government’s attention and private hospitals in the district every three months.

Many people from urban and rural areas of the Surendranagar district come to CU Shah Medical College and Hospital in Surendranagar for treatment. They provide the best medical services to the Surendranagar District for many years. 

 They are working hard to eradicate tuberculosis in the district; the district tuberculosis officer was also asked to strike a red ‘fast tracking’ coin on the case paper if a suspected TB patient was found in the general OPD of the medical college. 

He also gave detailed information about the ‘Nikshaya Poshan Yojana’ available to all TB patients and the incentive scheme available to doctors.

There are approximately 6 to 7 different departments in CU Shah Medical College, Surendranagar. So then the patients coming for treatment in the departments including Pulmonary, Medicine, Screen, ENT, PSM, Orthopedic, Ophthalmology of this college will be screened for TB by the on-duty medical.
