  2. Several stages of the military, as well as diplomatic talks, were held by India and China to address the face-off throughout eastern Ladakh.

On Thursday, China denied a report claiming that it had established a village in Arunachal Pradesh, claiming that the construction works were within its own territory as well as its sovereign right.

The Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs referred to a satellite-based study showing rows of houses throughout Indian territory that has been under Chinese control since 1959, although which is controversial.

Chinese foreign ministry spokesman Hua Chunying stated:

First of all, I would just like to inform you that the location of China on the eastern side of the China-India border, or Zangnan (the southern part of Tibet, China), is consistent as well as clear That so-called Arunachal Pradesh illegally founded on Chinese territory has never been recognized,” Chinese foreign ministry spokesman Hua Chunying told a media conference while answering a report query on Thursday.

“The normal building of China on its own territory is solely a matter of sovereignty,” added Hua.

As part of south Tibet, China argues that Arunachal Pradesh rejects New Delhi’s consistent stance that the north-eastern state is also an integral as well as an inalienable portion of India.

Satellite photos used by NDTV:

TV channel NDTV announced that the village is situated on the banks of the Tsari Chu River, which lies in the region disputed among India and China, utilizing satellite photos dated November 1, 2020.

The study said the village consists of more than 100 homes; no housing in the same area was seen in a picture dated August 26, 2019. The border dispute between India and China occupies the 3488-km-long Real Control Line (LAC).

Was new Delhi attempting to hype news about the village?

The report on the newest village in Arunachal Pradesh arrives in the midst of a military stand-off in eastern Ladakh among India and China that has continued for over eight months.

Several stages of the military, as well as diplomatic talks, were held by India and China to address the face-off throughout eastern Ladakh, but no substantial progress has been made so far.

Chinese state media later this week claimed New Delhi was trying to hype up the news regarding the village.

As per the Zhang Yongpan research study:

“Zhang Yongpan, a researcher fellow in the Institute of Chinese Borderland Studies for the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences (CASS), informed the tabloid Global Times on Tuesday that the Indian news reports were “a brazen attempt to stirring up trouble across the China-India border.

When questioned about the rise, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in India said that on Monday that it is keeping a constant eye on all developments affecting the security of the country as well as taking the appropriate steps to safeguard its sovereignty including territorial integrity.

As MEA stated:

In order to enhance the livelihood of its people, India has stepped up the construction of border facilities including roads as well as bridges MEA said.

“The Government shall keep a constant eye on all developments affecting the security of India as well as shall take all measures necessary to safeguard its sovereignty, including territorial integrity.
