The Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh
Chouhan urged everyone who had come in close contact to get their COVID-19 test
done immediately, after testing positive of the Novel Coronavirus.
The Chief Minister of the
state, Madhya Pradesh, Shivraj Singh Chouhan on Saturday, tested positive for the novel COVID-19 virus. The CM was admitted to the Chirayu
Hospital in the state capital Bhopal.
The virus is curable, do not
panic says Shivraj Singh Chouhan:
The 61-year-old Chief Minister took to Twitter to announce the news and revealed that he was having COVID-19 symptoms, so he took a test, and that the report had come positive. He said that he was adhering to all the guidelines and will quarantine as per the doctor’s advice. Chouhan also urged his colleagues and individuals to take the utmost care and precautions to avoid the deadly virus and urged people who had come in close contact with him to immediately get their tests done.
In the absence of Chouhan,
Narottam Mishra & Vishvas Sarang would lead the meeting:
Shivraj Singh Chouhan was
scheduled to hold a meeting at 11:30 am today, and all his close people have
been quarantined. Mr Chouhan wrote that in his absence Home Minister Narottam
Mishra and Health
Minister Vishvas Sarang will lead the meeting. The Home Minister who had come
in close contact with Mr Chouhan has also undergone a coronavirus test. The
Chief Minister chaired a cabinet meeting on Wednesday and a minister in that
meet, Arvind Singh Bhadoria tested positive. CM Chouhan also reassured the
people that there was no reason to panic and that he would continue to lead
efforts to contain the virus in the state.

Nath tweeted his wishes for the speedy recovery of the Chief Minister along
with another former CM, Uma Bharti, who said that she was praying for both Mr
Chouhan and his minister Mr Bhadoria.
