This is impressive. Deepika Padukone, also an Indian actress, has been chosen to serve on the Cannes 2022 jury. The Gehraiyaan actress has walked the festival’s red carpet for the past few years. She will now serve on the jury alongside other esteemed members of the entertainment industry.
The jury consists of nine people. On the list is French actor Vincent Lindon, who co-starred in Titane, the 2021 Cannes Palme d’Or winner.
He will preside over the jury for the 75th Cannes Film Festival. Aside from him, the jury includes actress-director Rebecca Hall (The Town), Noomi Rapace (Lamb) from Sweden, also Jasmine Trinca (The Gunman) from Italy. As well as directors Asghar Farhadi (A Hero), Ladj Ly (Les Misérables), Jeff Nichols (Take Shelter), and Joachim Trier (The Worst Person in the World). Deepika Padukone, of course. The actress declared the news on her Instagram stories, also fans cannot stop giggling.
