Digvijaya Singh criticizes PM Modi for holding
Ayodhya event on an inauspicious day, and asks PM Modi is greater than the
Hindu faith’s beliefs of thousand years?
On Monday, senior Congress
leader Digvijaya Singh said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi is violating the ‘Sanatan
Dharma’ by holding the
Bhoomi pujan of the Ram temple in Ayodhya on an inauspicious date of August 5.
Singh also said that holding the Ayodhya event on this date has resulted in
several BJP leaders getting infected with the novel COVID-19 virus, including
the Home Minister Amit Shah.
Digvijaya Singh takes jibes at
PM Modi and UP CM Yogi:
Digvijaya Singh took jibes at PM Modi and Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Aditynath and stated that despite Swami Swarupanand’s warning of August 5 being an inauspicious day for the groundbreaking ceremony, PM Modi has given his nod to the event as per his convenience.
August 5 is an inauspicious
date for the Ram temple groundbreaking ceremony, says Digvijaya Singh:
Singh took to his Twitter page and said that August 5 was deemed as an inauspicious date for the Bhoomi pujan of the Ram temple by Swami Swarupanand, and the date was fixed per Modiji’s convenience. Singh further asked that is Modi Ji greater than the Hindu faith’s beliefs of thousand years? Was that Hindutva? Digvijaya Singh further questioned the PM by asking in the current COVID-19 pandemic situation, shouldn’t the UP CM and PM be home quarantined? Or those rules only apply to the general public? Singh also questioned the reason behind PM Modi’s compulsion of holding the groundbreaking ceremony on the inauspicious date and wouldn’t it be a clear-cut violation of the Sanatan Dharma.
Digvijaya Singh pointed out the
repercussions the country has witnessed with many BJP leaders getting infected
with coronavirus by holding the ceremony.
