Dipendra Singh breaks Yuvraj Singh record of fastest fifty in T20

Nepal created the world record by scoring 314 runs in 20 overs. Dipendra Singh scores the fastest fifty in the t20, breaking Yuvraj Singh’s record.

Dipendra Singh Airee of Nepal broke Yuvraj Singh’s 16-year-old record in the 2007 T20 World Cup against England by scoring the fastest fifty in T20 cricket in just nine balls on Wednesday. Singh finished unbeaten on 52 off 10 balls, including eight sixes.

Nepal makes a historic t20 total:

Nepal defeated Mongolia in the current Asian Games group match with a tremendous total of 314/3. Mongolia were all out for 41 in response as Nepal cruised to a 273-run triumph.

The fastest fifty and century in t20:

Kushal Malla, who hit an unbeaten century in just 34 balls, became Nepal’s first T20 batsman to record a century.

Kushal Malla broke the record for the quickest men’s T20I century, which had previously been held by a trio of players, including India skipper Rohit Sharma.

Malla reached his century in Hangzhou in 34 deliveries, topping the 35-ball performances of Rohit and David Miller in 2017 and Sudesh Wickramasekara in 2019.

Nepal got off to a weak start after being put into bat first by Mongolia. Malla (137 not out off 50 balls; 84, 126) and skipper Rohit Paudel (61 off 27 balls; 24, 66) put up 193 runs for the third wicket in just 65 balls.

Nepal hits a total of 26 sixes in the match:

Paudel got out on the 1st ball of the 19th over. With eleven balls remaining in the contest, Dipendra, new to the crease, played ten of them and made history.

Nepal hit 26 sixes during their outstanding innings, with Malla hitting 12 and Dipendra Singh Airee hitting another eight.

Luvsanzundui Erdenebulgan (1/47), Davaasuren Jamyansuren (1/60), and Mungun Altankhuyag (1/55) each took a wicket for Mongolia.
