The Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) invites families and individuals who reside in or work in Dubai to participate in its most recent Travel Behaviour Survey.
According to a statement made by the RTA on Sunday, the poll will be conducted from January to June this year. It will include more than 7,000 samples of the population from Dubai and its neighbouring emirates.
It will consist of 5,000 families (citizens and residents), 1,500 tourists and workers, and 500 cargo transport businesses in Dubai.
The authority stated in the questionnaire’s introduction that respondents who completed the survey would receive special rewards.
The RTA’s efforts to improve the networks and services of the roads and public transportation include the poll launch.
In keeping with the ambitious Urban Plan 2040 of the emirate, it was further stated that the objective was to offer the general public a smooth and safe transportation experience.
“The RTA would survey over the following few days to evaluate Dubai residents’ and visitors’ mobility trends and behaviours.
Home questionnaires, field trips, in-person interviews, and online interviews, including those conducted through smart apps, would all be methods of communicating with the public, “Muna Al Osaimi, director of the RTA’s Transportation Strategic Planning, Strategy, and Corporate Governance Sector, said.
The process uses artificial intelligence technologies to reach the greatest number of people possible.
The survey’s results will be gathered, examined, and examined again to produce the most accurate findings.
According to Al Osaimi, “Such deliverables will help RTA in upgrading its strategic and operational plans for the road network as well as mass transit systems, including the Dubai Metro and also Tram, public buses, marine transit means, as well as individual and soft mobility means.”
