Emerson Royal has returned to Barcelona from Real Betis.

Spanish club FC Barcelona on Wednesday educated Real Betis that they are practising their entitlement to bring back Emerson Royal from July 1 after two seasons borrowed at the Andalusian club. 

Brought into the world in Sao Paulo, Brazil, on January 14, 1999, Emerson Aparecido Leite de Souza Junior, otherwise called Emerson Royal, is an assaulting right-back who will be associated with the impending Copa America with the Brazilian public group. 

“The safeguard will carry pace and an assaulting measurement to the conservative as the Brazilian has scored five objectives and made 10 helps with Betis, the club at which he has played since a three-way understanding was reached, including Atletico Mineiro in January 2019,” Barcelona said in an authority articulation. 

Before joining Betis, Emerson Royal invested energy playing for Ponte Preta and Atletico Mineiro back in his local Brazil. He made his Brazilian class debut in the Paulista title in February 2017, preceding joining Atletico the next year, where he started to draw in interest from clubs in Europe. 

Once at Betis, Emerson turned into an installation in the side and showed up in over two seasons at the Seville club. 

Last season, he helped the group instructed by Manuel Pellegrini to a 6th spot finish in La Liga and a spot in the Europa League for next season. The Brazilian played an aggregate of 3,186 minutes for Betis last season, more than some other player at the club. 

In the last two seasons, just Barca’s Jordi Alba, Sevilla’s Jesus Navas and Atletico Madrid’s Kieran Trippier have given a larger number of help than Emerson’s 10 as a protector. 

He has been consistently present with the Brazilian public side since the U-20 level, and he made his presentation for the full public group in November 2019 in a well-disposed match against South Korea. This late spring, he could partake in his first Copa America.
