The circular reads, “Those schools which have already performed the first mid-term, as well as first term exams, need not perform it again.
By calling them to the educational institutions, the Goa Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education, directed all its schools throughout the state to conduct exams for students in Classes 9 and 11.

In a circular dated January 8, the Secretary of the Board, Geraldina L Mendes, specified that all the examinations for Classes 9 and 11 should be completed by April 24, 2021, to enable schools to provide facilities and human resources to carry out the examinations of the Board, which are scheduled to begin on April 26.
Class 10 and 12 schools in Goa, reopened last November, after already being shut down for almost eight months due to the COVID-19 outbreak, though online classes for all the other standards were currently being undertaken.
As stated in the Circular:
“In terms of the current pandemic situation as well as the availability of a limited number of instructional & working days, the schools were, therefore, requested to undertake examination, that is theory as well as practical for Classes ninth and eleventh for the academic year 2020-21 by referring students to the schools,” the circular states.
No online exams for 11th and 9th Std students:
The board has granted the schools the right to administer the tests according to their convenience.
The circular reads, “Those schools which have already performed the first mid-term, as well as first term exams, need not perform it again,” Schools are also granted the right to set full weighting of 50 per cent weighting for the first and second term papers and then translate it into full weighting.
As per the coverage of the section, the circular has said schools can have their own articles.
The State Board already has declared that 30 per cent of the syllabus would be cut for the current academic year.
