Falguni Pathak discusses her recent Instagram posts in which she shared fans’ reactions criticizing Neha Kakkar, who sang the recreated version of Pathak’s hit Maine Payal Hai Chhankayi and says that while she is not opposed to recreations, she believes they must have a heart and soul behind them.

O Sajna, a reimagined version of singer Falguni Pathak’s hit 90s track, Maine Payal Hai Chhankai. She has recently sparked outrage among fans of Indian pop music. Pathak is irritated by the new song, composed by Tanishk Bagchi and sung by Neha Kakkar, and wishes she had the legal right to sue.

She expressed her disappointment on social media. “What could I have done differently?” “I couldn’t take legal action,” Pathak says, adding, “I was overwhelmed to see so many people write on social media about how much they love my music and how much they didn’t like this (Kakkar’s) version.”

Pathak recently stated that if she could, she “would have taken the legal route. She claims that she “didn’t know” the importance of owning music rights back then. Which could have prevented such recreations. “I wish I had known back then.” Tab pata chalta hai khud pe guzarti hai.

Meanwhile, Pathak, 52, clarifies that she is not opposed to recreation.

However, she believes that whoever works on a recreated version should be passionate about music and work on the song wholeheartedly rather than focusing solely on its success.

When ask if she would like to sing a remake, she says, “I don’t mind singing a remake. I’m not opposed to remixes and recreations.” They’ve been goes on for a long time. But it must be done with great passion, and that passion must solely focus on creating good music. “Everything else will come later,” the singer concludes.
