Adipurush Box Office Day 1 Collection: Despite conflicting reactions from reviewers and audiences, the picture had a tremendous opening weekend at the box office on Friday.
Early projections suggest that the Hindi version will earn roughly 36-38 crore, with an overall collection of 90 crores in all languages. After Pathaan and KGF 2, it is undoubtedly the third-largest opening for a Hindi film since the epidemic.
Prabhas plays Raghava, Kriti Sanon is Janaki, and Saif Ali Khan is Ravana in the film. Om Raut, famed for his previous blockbuster Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior, directs this film.
Adipurush crossed 100cr mark:
According to Boxofficeindia.com, if the Telugu version’s collections in Hindi circuits and the rest of South India are taken into account, Adipurush appears to be looking at a nett day one collection of roughly 90 crores in India and a total collection of 110-112 crore.
According to the report, ‘the final overseas statistics are still to emerge, but the picture has a 140 crore worldwide day one. The collection amount can jump to 150 crores when all the collections are summed up’ on Saturday.
The movie breaks all the records:
The Hindi version of Adipurush performed worse than last year’s greatest movie Pathaan, which grossed 57 crores in India. Also it broke Yash’s KGF 2 (Hindi version) record, which grossed 54 crores.
However, the film has surpassed last year’s much-anticipated feature Brahmastra, which opened at 36 crores in India.
Movie review:
The movie was described as a “visual spectacle” in the review, although there were several criticisms. “Adipurush is simply a Bollywoodized version of one of the most epic tales ever told,” it said.
Leaving aside the plot, which is widely known, the execution is a jumbled mass of over-the-top CGI and passable VFX, exacerbated by purposefully hilarious dialogues that sound out of place in a delicate and mythological story.”
In honour of Lord Hanuman, a seat in each theatre showing the film has been designated. A monkey was also seen getting into one of Telangana’s theatres.
