Farhan Akhtar explains why Ranveer Singh in Don 3

Following in the footsteps of Amitabh Bachchan and Shah Rukh Khan, actor Ranveer Singh is all set to play Don in the third part of the hit franchise. 

Director Farhan Akhtar recently named Ranveer the new Don 3 in a special announcement video; however, many fans expressed disappointment with the movie’s new casting.

Farahan Akhtar talks about casting Ranveer Singh in Don 3:

In an interview with the US-based journal Variety, director Farhan Akhtar said he and SRK “mutually parted ways.” “I’m not in a position to replace anyone.” 

We talked about these topics throughout the years; I wanted to take the plot in a specific direction, but we couldn’t find common ground. 

We just parted ways, knowing that was probably for the best. So there you have it,” Akhtar told Variety.

Farhan also said he looks forward to working with Ranveer Singh on the film’s third part. “I’m excited Ranveer’s on board,” he stated. He’s pumped up and ready to go. 

It’s a big film, just from the point of view of an actor, and it’s a big thing to do, so we’re really pleased to have him on board. His energy is energizing us.”

Don series the great part of Bollywood:

The Don series has always had captivating storylines, thrilling action, and unforgettable moments. Don starred Shah Rukh Khan, Priyanka Chopra, and Boman Irani in key roles. 

The film was released in 2006 and was named Best Asian Film at the Neuchatel International Fantastic Film Festival. Later, in 2011, its sequel was released and was deemed a success.

In Don 2, actor Hrithik Roshan made a cameo appearance.

Farhan’s film was a remake of 1978’s Don, which starred Amitabh Bachchan in the starring role.
