Watch Ranveer Singh as the new Don in Don 3 teaser

Farhan Akhtar, the actor-filmmaker-producer, has finally introduced the new Don. Ranveer Singh will take over as the new Don in Don 3, who is once again the target of the ’11 mulkon ki police’. Ranveer Singh is introduced to the franchise and its devoted fans in a new teaser.

The Don 3 Teaser:

Farhan posted the teaser, “A New Era Begins #Don3.” His tweet also named Pushkar Gayatri, but Farhan would direct the film.

The trailer begins with Ranveer seated in a high-rise structure with his back to the camera. He’s dressed in a leather jacket and boots, and he smokes a cigarette before turning to face the camera and introducing himself as Don.

Farhan hint’s about the new era of Don:

On Tuesday, Farhan wrote a note on his Instagram account that hinted at a new era for Don. “It was 1978 when the nation witnessed the rage of Don for the first time, with superstar Mr Amitabh Bachchan playing the lead,” said the note. 

While the original film retains its allure, Excel Entertainment is pleased to announce the directorial return of Farhan Akhtar’s Don. 

“With a legacy firmly established through his iconic two-film action franchise with Shah Rukh Khan in 2006 and 2011, the director is set to redefine the boundaries of storytelling once more in Don 3.”

“The time has now come to carry Don’s legacy forward,” he added, “and joining us in this new interpretation will be an actor whose talent and versatility I have long admired.” 

We hope you will offer him the kindness and generosity you have shown Mr Bachchan and Shah Rukh Khan. Don’s new era begins in 2025. “Keep an eye on this.”

The remake of 1978’s Don:

Don’ starred Shah Rukh Khan, Priyanka Chopra, and Boman Irani in key roles. 

The movie was released in 2006 and was named Best Asian Film at the Neuchatel International Fantastic Film Festival. Its sequel was later released in 2011 and was deemed a hit.

In Don 2, actor Hrithik Roshan made a cameo appearance.

Farhan’s film was a remake of 1978’s Don, which starred Amitabh Bachchan in the starring role.
