First impressions of the Tata Neu app: it has a lot of potentials

Tata Neu has been dubbed a “super app,” as it combines the power of all of Tata’s powerful brands under one roof.

First impressions of the Tata Here’s our initial reaction to Tata Neu.

Tata Neu, dubbed a “super app” because it combines the power of all of Tata’s powerful brands under one roof, was launched on April 7. The idea last the app is simple: you don’t have to switch apps if you want to buy groceries from Big Bazaar. Pick up a kurta from Westside, or book tickets for your next vacation.

Because all sales are backed by the Tata Group and its various brands, there is also implicit trust. As a result, unlike other platforms that frequently have third-party sellers, there is no need to worry about the seller.

Tata Neu will also combine all points and rewards from these sales into what are known as NeuCoins. At the moment, one ‘NeuCoin’ equals one Re, and these coins are valid for one year. So maybe your big purchases will help you get more rewards and, hopefully, allow you to buy other things for free. Here’s my take on the Tata Neu app so far. First impressions of the Tata Neu app:

When you open the app, the top banners greet you with the day’s biggest offers and discounts. With each core Tata brand highlighted, from IHCL and Big Bazaar to Croma and 1mg.

Just below it, you’ll find the options for Tata Pay, the company’s UPI-based payment service.

In addition, the Scan and Pay, Send Money, Pay Bills, and Finance options are visible, and the NeuCoins banner is visible below.

At the bottom of the homepage, there are five tabs for the app. The main home tab is the Tata Pay tab, which takes you to the payment service; the NeuPass tab, which displays your coins, and the brand badges. According to the app, I have a Croma privilege badge, an IHCL (Indian Hotels Company Limited) copper badge, and a BigBasket, Westside, and 1MG base badge. In addition, AirAsia India shows Aviator next to my tier, whereas, for TataCliQ, it shows CLiQPerQ next to my story.

I would have preferred a more detailed explanation for these. I understand the bottom tier because I’ve never used BigBasket, Westside, or 1MG. However, I’m not sure why Croma has a privilege badge. It would have been more logical if Tata had briefly explained each tier.
