Similarly, all the schools, colleges and the students are given on instructions about this awareness toward the rise of cybercrimes at huge.
For this matter, Additional Director General (Police Technical Services) Sunil Dutt has granted permission to Manas in 18 districts, primarily Jaipur, Ajmer, Bhilwara, Alwar, Bharatpur, Sikar, Jhunjhunu, Churu, Kota, Hanumangarh, Ganganagar, Tonk, Banswara, Dungarpur, Udaipur, Pratapgarh, Chittorgarh and Rajsamand, to aware the common populace through conducting Cyber Crime Awareness Programme.
Along with the team, Manas is bestowing training on topics like crime, public awareness, secure and safe online banking, sexual harassment cases online, safe mobile surfing, and phone call frauds as per regular schedule. With this, shortly, Manas and his team in all the districts will make the public aware through the PowerPoint presentation and awareness video.
Manas says that currently blackmailing by creating fake accounts on Facebook or trying to gain people’s sympathy, freeing the entire account by becoming a social media friend, taking money out of the account by sharing OTP, such sorts of crimes and such criminals are expeditiously increasing. In these circumstances, it has become necessary that we use the internet properly, determine the real and fake, and also be reasonably cautious of registering our presence on social media.
Vigilance or awareness is the only way to avoid cybercrime. Cybercrime has increased by 300% during the lockdown period. And under this, there has been increased Paytm fraud, e-commerce fraud, SIM swapping, and card cloning in financial fraud. Cases like cyberbullying, molestation, identity theft have risen against the same woman and children. Excessive sharing of information will result in losses. It is not right to share more details on Facebook, trust any phone calls and incoming messages, and not get lured.
The Cyber Expert, Manas, came into the limelight when he created an app named Rakshasutra for the safety of women. In which, after downloading the mobile app, an alarm will be sounded in the police control room whenever the woman or the girl presses the screen twice in an emergency; as well as the police could easily find out the location of the woman so that in time, the police comes to know about the information and the place before the incident. The former Chief Minister also appreciated this app.
Over and above that, during the election also Manas had created an app named Intejam, with the help of which, it is straightforward to find out which policeman has a duty at which police station and point; and as this deals, there has no condition of confusion among the police personnel.
