On Monday, traffic moving through Noida and Ghaziabad to Delhi remained affected as the borders of Ghazipur and Chilla continued to be partially blocked with about one open carriageway for those leaving Delhi.

As farmers begin their agitation against the three farm rules, blocking one carriageway, the traffic heading towards Delhi through both of these borders has been diverted. The boundaries of Singhu as well as Tikri, however, have remained fully blocked since 26 November.

As a senior Police officer stated: 

The traffic moving towards Delhi to Noida is smooth as normal at the Chilla border, a senior police officer stated, while the carriageway to Delhi remains blocked.

 Farmers still continue to block one carriageway on the elevated Delhi-Meerut expressway, whereas the other, with regular traffic, is open for those leaving Delhi, he said.

In order to guarantee law and order, there is ample deployment of force on both borders. Efforts are being made to mitigate the public’s inconvenience,” said that the officer.

The NH-24 service lanes at the Ghazipur border, which has been blocked by farmers from 27 November, also remained closed to traffic early Monday. The borders that continue to remain fully blocked, besides the borders of Chilla as well as Ghazipur, are Jharoda, Piao Maniyari, Singhu, Tikri, Auchandi, and Mangesh.

Delhi Traffic Police, in its advisory:

In its advisory, the Delhi Traffic Police asked individuals to take alternate routes to enter Delhi via the borders of Chilla, Anad Vihar, DND, Apsara as well as Bhopra. 

The traffic police stated that the borders presently available to Haryana are the following: the borders of Jharoda (single road only), Bijwasan/Bajghera, Palam Vihar, Daurala, Kapashera, Badusarai, Rajokri NH 8, and Dundahera.

Delhi Traffic Police in their Tweet: 

In order to update the traffic situation, Delhi Traffic Police have also taken to social media. “The police said in one of their tweets, “The Chilla, as well as Ghazipur borders, were closed to traffic coming from Noida through Ghaziabad to Delhi due to protests by farmers. Please take an alternative route to enter Delhi via the borders of Apsara, Anand Vihar, DND, Bhopra, and Loni.

The police also tweeted, “The borders of Singhu, Auchandi, Piau Maniyari, Saboli and, Mangesh are closed.” The alternate path via Lampur Safiabad, Palla as well as Singhu school toll tax borders, report.

 Traffic from Mukarba through GTK road has been diverted. Avoid Outer Ring Road, GTK Road And NH-44, please.
