Giriraj Singh Calls Rahul Gandhi ‘Lal Babua’, Questions Leadership

Union Minister Giriraj Singh launched a scathing attack on Leader of the Opposition Rahul Gandhi on Friday, questioning his commitment to Indian politics. The criticism came amid speculation that Gandhi is currently abroad while conducting candidate selection for the Bihar Assembly elections through video conferencing.

Singh derisively referred to Gandhi as “Lal Babua” (privileged son) and labeled him a “non-serious leader” who focuses on “degrading India and spreading false narratives.” Speaking to reporters, the Minister used pointed language to describe the Congress leader’s political approach.

Sharp Personal Criticism

“There is a word ‘nepo kid’. I will not call him a nepo kid because he is a ‘nepo boy’. A privileged son, he is a ‘Lal Babua’,” Singh stated, making a direct reference to Gandhi’s political lineage and questioning his credentials as a leader.

The Union Minister’s remarks reflect the ongoing political tensions between the BJP and Congress as Bihar prepares for its Assembly elections. Gandhi’s alleged physical absence from India while managing crucial election decisions has become a focal point for opposition criticism.

Comments on Mamata Banerjee

Singh also targeted West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, accusing her of creating an environment where “only Rohingya and Bangladeshi Muslims feel secure” under her leadership. He criticized alleged attacks on BJP leaders visiting flood-affected regions in the state, suggesting that Banerjee acts more like a Prime Minister of Bengal than a Chief Minister within India’s federal structure.

The Minister’s comments underscore the intensifying political rhetoric as multiple states gear up for elections and political parties sharpen their attacks on opposition leaders.
