Gujarat Panchayat survey of more than 10,800 villages will take place on December 19

In total, nearly 2.06 million voters will vote for 10,284 Sarpanchi and 89,702 Panchai members out of 10,879 grams of these Panchami. There are about 14,000 grams of pancakes and 18,500 statewide. The final date for submitting nominations is December 4, and the date for withdrawal is December 7.

“Polling will take place on December 19 between 7 a.m. and 6 p.m. at more than 27,000 polling stations. The count of votes will take place on December 21. Due to the huge number of polling stations, voting is done by ballot, not EVM. In total, we will use more than 54,000 ballot boxes for voting,” said Prasad.

He said more than 5,000 election officers, 1,500 election officers, and more than 58,000 police officers would be deployed.

The Gram Panchayat polls were not conduct with party symbols. And candidates had to proceed in their capacity, with voters voting for Sarpanch and several Panchayat members.
