Night temperatures across Gujarat on Wednesday remained largely near or slightly above normal, according to the latest bulletin from the India Meteorological Department (IMD). Most regions experienced cool but stable winter conditions, with no significant cold wave impact reported.

Coldest Locations

Naliya in Kutch recorded the lowest minimum temperature in the state at 9.0°C, marginally below normal. Rajkot followed with 10.1°C, which was 2.4 degrees below the seasonal average, reflecting cooler-than-usual conditions in parts of Saurashtra. Bhuj also reported a minimum of 10.2°C, slightly below normal.

Central Gujarat Trends

In central Gujarat, temperatures were relatively higher. Gandhinagar registered 13.4°C, about 2.8 degrees above normal, while Ahmedabad recorded 14.4°C, 2.1 degrees above the usual average for this time of year. Vadodara reported 15.0°C, nearly 2 degrees above normal, indicating warmer nights in the region.

Other Districts

Deesa reported 11.4°C, which was 1.4 degrees above normal, while Amreli recorded 11.6°C, close to its climatological average. These figures suggest moderate variations across different districts, with most remaining within expected winter ranges.

Coastal Areas

Coastal regions stayed relatively warmer overnight. Surat reported 15.8°C, while Veraval recorded 16.7°C, both slightly above normal. Okha registered the highest minimum among reported stations at 17.2°C, though still marginally below normal.

No rainfall was reported from any station during the past 24 hours. Meteorological officials emphasized that the overall pattern indicates stable winter conditions across Gujarat, with no immediate signs of a cold wave.
