India achieves over 75% recovery rate; More flights

With India registering 60,975
cases over the most recent 24 hours, the total number of COVID-19 cases rose to 31,67,324 on Tuesday.
Additionally, with 848 new fatalities, the death toll increased to 58,390. Of
the total, active Coronavirus cases in the country stand at 7,04,348, while
24,04,585 individuals have recovered from the deadly disease. The tally of
recovered patients now exceeds the total number of active cases in the country
by more than three times. India’s COVID-19 tests for each million rose to
26,016 as total tests spiked to 3.59 crore, the Ministry of Health and Family
Welfare said on Monday underlining that a key segment in India’s COVID-19
reaction has been the early discovery of cases by opportune and forceful
testing.

Kolkata, reveals Civil Aviation Minister:
Minister of State for Civil Aviation (Independent Charge) Hardeep Singh Puri has said that a significant part of the pre-COVID domestic air traveller traffic could be re-established by Diwali. The Centre will permit an increase in the number of flights from specific areas, for example, Mumbai and Kolkata, which have operated under restrictions so far, Puri said.
