According to the Meteorological Department, an orange alert has been issued for 14 districts across Saurashtra, South, and North Gujarat today, July 23rd. Heavy rainfall is expected in scattered areas including:
- North Gujarat: Sabarkantha, Aravalli, Mahisagar, Dahod, Panchmahal, Bhavnagar, Devbhumi Dwarka, Porbandar, Junagadh, Amreli, Gir Somnath, Jamnagar
- South Gujarat: Navsari and Dang
Additionally, a yellow alert has been announced for 19 other districts, forecasting heavy to very heavy rain. These districts include Kutch, Morbi, Surendranagar, Patan, Banaskantha, Mehsana, Ahmedabad, Botad, Rajkot, Anand, Bharuch, Vadodara, Narmada, Tapi, Dang, Surat, and Gandhinagar.
Educational Institutions Closed in Valsad
In response to the heavy rains, the Valsad District Collector has decided to close anganwadis, schools, colleges, and ITIs in the Umargam taluka today, July 23rd. Decisions for the rest of the talukas in the district will be made based on the local situation.
Flood-Like Situations in Telangana of Upleta
