I would have played Iron Man differently: says Ranbir Kapoor.

Key points:

  1.  Ranbir Kapoor has stated that he has a propensity to turn underdogs into even the most heroic characters.
  2. “I think even if I were offered to play Iron Man, I would make him an underdog,” reporter Rajeev Masand said.
  3. Ranbir announced that in a few weeks he would begin working on a new film by Luv Ranjan.

Ranbir Kapoor has stated that he has a propensity to turn underdogs into even the most heroic characters. The star, who has performed similar characters in films like Rocket Singh: Salesman of the Year including Barfi, will feature next in Brahmastra as well as Shamshera in much more conventionally heroic characters.

In an interview, he explained that, rather than being aspiring, he prefers his characters to have a related consistency.

Ranbir to reporter Rajeev Masand:

“I think even if I were offered to play Iron Man, I would make him an underdog,” reporter Rajeev Masand said. “It’s just something that happens to me naturally. I’m a major ‘unexpected victory’ fan, and I want the audience to connect to my characters, not… I want my roles to have a quality as well as not an aspirational quality that is important.

Further, Ranbir stated in his interview:

He added, “These massive, action, big-ticket movies are Shamshera as well as Brahmastra, but there is a preconceived notion.” Ranbir, who has also been operating on the movies for ‘3 – 4 years,’ said he has ‘also now forgotten’ what he did on the films. “Now I am on my next one already. They’re really fun films, of course.

“I gave them a lot,” he said, noting that the years he played working on them were “very hard,” considering what his family been going through at the time, with the disease of his late father, Rishi Kapoor. “It’s been a tough three years, so for now I’m only searching for light stuff.”

The upcoming projects of Ranbir Kapoor:

Ranbir announced that in a few weeks he would begin working on a new film by Luv Ranjan, after which he will feature in the next project by Kabir Singh director Sandeep Reddy Vanga.

Next year, Brahmastra, the fantasy movie starring his girlfriend, Alia Bhatt, will arrive. The last release by Ranbir was the box office hit Sanju in 2018.
