Fantastic comeback by team India beating Australia in a second test match in Border Gavaskar Trophy Melbourne. India vs Australia 2020-21 series now stands at 1-1.
Australian tour has been a roller coaster for India. First, they lost, then came back with a win. It has been like from ODI’s to Twenty20. Australia started with an ODI win India came back by winning Twenty20. Again Australia won the first test battle and now Indian coming back by thumping epic win. Indian Team’s collapse gave Australia a first test match, and now Australia’s poor batting performance gave India a second test match.
Second Test Match Indian team winning in Melbourne:
Australian Team did give a fight their tail did score good 100runs which helped them get the lead. Only 70 needed India lost out of form Agarwal and Pujara who is not at his best in this series. The Only big concern now for India is Pujara form. He is the main player who lifts the Team with his classic batting. In a third test match, Rohit Sharma coming in the Team will surely lift the Team’s spirit. Yes, he has not played a game in Australia this season, but we can expect him giving moral support with his presence. Rohit Sharma’s presence will help Rahane too as Rohit has good cricketing sense as captain.

Bumrah is leading from the front once again taking six wickets in the match, four wickets in 1st inning and two big wickets in 2nd inning. Two players impressed the most in the second test match Debutant Shubham Gill and Mohammed Siraj.

India won this match under his captaincy and from this inning, he will get his confidence back, which was lacking from the past few years. If he would have failed in this series, his place was in doubt, but this defining 112runs gave him extra years in his career. There is no doubt in his batting abilities, but he could not play a good inning for a long time. But what a time he gets his most waited runs. Indian Team was down and out due to the first match lost. A horrible collapse and to come so strongly in the second test match will surely lift Rahane and the Team’s confidence. With Rohit Sharma coming in the Team, we feel the Team will look stronger in the 3rd test match against Australia.
Good overall performance by Team Indian in the second test match to level the series. India vs Australia 2020-21 series will be interesting as both teams play good games in patches. India now looks stronger due to Shubham Gill and Siraj performance and can’t forget the role of Jadeja who silently showed how much price player he is for Team India in all formats.

Jadeja’s 57runs in the first inning second test match against Australia once again proved he is the best all-rounder around in test matches. When you see top all-rounder stats in batting and bowling, no one is near Ravindra Jadeja. His batting average is higher than Ben Stokes and bowling too. He is an asset which is helping India win in all formats. But his role in test matches is now becoming bigger and man he is giving his best and helping team top matches in overseas series.
Third test match India vs Australia Border Gavaskar Trophy:
Third test match Advantage to India as Team has good inform bowling unit Bumrah, Siraj, Yadav, Jadeja and Ashwin. Even if Yadav is not fit, Shardul Thakur too can be handy in a third test match. Batting worries at a few spots starting with the opening. Will India back Agarwal and give him one chance to prove his skills, or will we see Rahul entering the Team. Surely Vihari’s place is in doubt as Rohit enters in the Test squad. Australia will think of making a change in the opening slot. We don’t feel Australia will change anything at other spots. Main player Smith is not able to deliver for the team, and that is hurting Australia badly.
