After a phone call among their foreign ministers, a joint report said the three sides decided that the trilateral initiative would act as a platform to promote the design. 

It would even execute cooperation projects in the areas of energy, with an emphasis on solar and nuclear power.

“It was believed that defence is an extent of close cooperation between the three nations. Therefore, measures will be undertaken further to enable compatibility, joint action and co-production whilst seeking routes for further partnership and training between the three countries defence forces,” it said.

The foreign ministers stated that the trilateral initiative would act as a platform to extend cooperation between their nations’ development agencies on sustainable frameworks.

The three foreign heads met on September 19 last year for the first time in a trilateral form on the margins of the United Nations General Assembly in New York.

At the summit, they launched a formal trilateral cooperation initiative to boost cooperation in different fields of mutual interest.

“It is in this context that a phone call between the three ministers was had today to embrace a roadmap for the execution of this initiative,” the report said.
