India’s Coronavirus tally climbs to 673,165 with the
death toll at 19,268. More than 4 Lakh recoveries too recorded.
Till Sunday 8 am, India breached the 24,000 daily cases mark with
registering a whopping 24,850 fresh COVID-19 infections. This is the biggest single-day
spike in numbers & also the percentage of rising cases is the highest. This
takes the country’s Coronavirus tally to 673,165. In the last 24 hours, a
total of 613 causalities were reported, which also the highest surge in the
deaths since the first death was reported in the nation.

The Union Health Ministry. For a third consecutive day, India registered cases
over 20,000 & it is also a ninth consecutive day when cases have been above
18,000 per day.
Over 4 lakh recoveries in
India:
In some positive news, India’s recoveries have crossed the 4 lakh mark, with 409,082 total recoveries in the country. The active number of cases stands at 244,815, meaning the recovery rate of India, has improved to 60.77 percent.
Maharashtra’s COVID-19 tally
breaches the two-lakh mark:
Maharashtra,
the worst affected coronavirus state, added new 7,074 cases, taking the state’s
tally to over 2 lakh. Tamil Nadu is the second most affected state and has
extended lockdown curbs
for Madurai and nearby regions till 12th July. Delhi’s COVID-19 tally zoomed past the 97,000-mark.
(WHO) World Health
Organization recorded
its highest ever increase in global cases, with 212,326 cases reported in the
last 24 hours. Experts also believe that by Monday, India is most likely to
overtake Russia, if the cases continue to grow at this rate in the
country.
Global Coronavirus tally is now
over 11.2 million with more than 528,000 people dying.
