Infosys and Lufthansa: The GCC seeks to rev digital transformation, drive innovation in the aviation industry, and boost support for Lufthansa’s IT products for consumers in the external airline market.
Driving Digital Transformation in Aviation
Infosys, the Bengaluru-based IT giant, announced on February 18 a strategic collaboration with Lufthansa Group and Lufthansa Systems GmbH (LSY) to establish a Global Capability Centre (GCC).
This initiative aims to accelerate digital transformation, enhance software and product development, and drive innovation in the aviation industry.
AI-Powered Solutions for the Aviation Sector
The new centre will leverage Infosys Topaz, an AI-first offering that integrates generative AI technologies. Through these advancements, Infosys will develop future-ready aviation IT products and data-driven solutions to improve aviation safety, efficiency, customer experience, and demand management for Lufthansa Group and LSY’s external airline market customers.
Expanding Infosys’ Presence in the Aviation Industry
Infosys has a long history of collaboration with aerospace OEMs, global airlines, and travel technology providers. The company recently introduced the Cobalt Airline Cloud, a first-of-its-kind industry solution aimed at boosting operational efficiency and supporting sustainability efforts in aviation.

Enhancing Critical Aviation Functions
The GCC will focus on optimizing key functions across the aviation sector, including:
- Finance and flight navigation
- Network and schedule design
